POV: Stage 1 On the side, Intercooled for Porsche 911 You can see it's a relatively as simple configuration. It's kind of a half of a twin turbo, but we're using the factory heat exchangers. Factory heater boxes going into the J tube, which plumbs up to a wastegate, comes into the turbocharger, plumbs right back into the stock exhaust system or whatever kind of aftermarket performance exhaust system- we can provide mufflers if you'd like for even more performance. With the stock muffler, these produce about 335 horsepower crank versus 214 stock. A little bit better exhaust system on it and they end up producing about 350. If we do these with the turbo in the rear in the 930 location, the heater system needs to be reconfigured, but we'll run equal length headers. With equal length headers, the Stage 1 will end up producing about 375 horsepower- those are all non-intercooled. With intercoolers these will end up running about 410 crank horsepower. This is a very fun, straightforward system that you can put together over the weekend for a nice 100 horsepower boost minimum. This one's actually going to be picking up about 185-190 horsepower with the addition of intercooler! This system is capable of running approximately 10psi Boost on 93 octane and is a bolt-on configuration for US models with 9.5:1 compression. Today we're showing you a walkaround of this 964 Safari build. Well, this engine was originally intended for one of the safari builds, but the owner decided to go the direction of restomod (emphasis on the mod) with this specific engine after we recorded this video, but everything we said about it besides that is true! We worked on 3 of these things and the other two engines (one of which we show in the video) were installed in safari builds- the white one which we show at the beginning and end, and another one we unfortunately don't have any footage of.
