Mass Flow Expansion network for Porsche 993 Turbo and Carrera

Protomotive’s Mass Flow Expansion network for Porsche 993 Turbo and Carrera uses the full range available from your HFM5 mass flow sensor.   Normally, the ecu can only see a range of 0.5-4.5v coming in from the mass flow sensor.  However, this sensor is capable of reading an amazing range up to 8v the ecu cannot see.   The network, when installed, compresses this full range down to a usable range to allow tuning 993 Turbos and turbo’d Carrera’s up in the 700+whp range and not going blind when out of range.

Requires some technical skill and soldering to install properly.  Due to the sensitive nature of the mass flow readings it’s not advisable to install using plug/play connectors that could potentially change the resistance range altering the readings.

993 Turbo systems with 60, 80 or higher injector upgrades require this to allow flexible tuning with wg controllers vs. only wide open throttle tuning.
