Intermediate Shaft Bearings for Porsche 911 engines

Why do I need these?

  • The intermediate shaft bearings take a beating by driving the chains and valve train.
  • These are one of the first things in the lower end to show wear.
  • When rebuilding stock or fully built engines, always replace your intermediate shaft bearings!

What do they fit?

  • 1978-1983 Porche 911 SC 3.0
  • 1984-1989 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera
  • 1978-1989 Porsche 930 turbo
  • 1989-1993 Porsche 964 Carrera
  • 1991-1992 Porsche C2 Turbo
  • 1993-1994 Porsche 3.6 Turbo
  • 1994-1998 Porsche 993 Carrera
  • 1995-1998 Porsche 993 Turbo
  • 2001-2005 Porsche 996 Turbo
  • 2007-2009 Porsche 997.1 Turbo
  • 2010-2013 Porsche 997 GT2 RS
  • 2003-2005 Porsche 996 GT3
  • 2007-2011 Porsche 997 GT3
  • They also fit Porsche 996 and 997 GT3 engines with the 9676, 9679, 9776 and 9779 engines on OEM cranks.
  • They also fit the 4.0 GT3 engine

How many do I need?

  • A purchase of 1 will get a SET of thrust and non thrust intermediate shaft bearings.
  • Note: These work well with a GT3 solid intermediate shaft

What else will I need for the bottom end rebuild?

  • Main Bearings
  • Rod Bearings
  • Engine Gasket Kit 996 Turbo, 997 Turbo
  • Always inspect the intermediate shaft bolts!  Peen, loctite or safety wire them if you’re not running a gt3 intermediate shaft.
  • Inspect and/or Replace your oil pump.  Gt3 oil pumps are great!  Auto Verdi are even more fun…
  • Timing Chains
  • Timing Chain Ramps
  • Chain Tensioners
  • Feel free to contact us for a full kit!
