Protomotive Stroker Rods Highlights:

  • They are designed to work with Protomotive Stroker Cranks
  • These rods are Available in 125mm center to center for 80.4 Stroker setups which allows you to run OEM configuration compression heights and not be forced into specialty only pistons that may be extremely difficult to install.

What are the advantages of these rods?

  • Our stroker rods run the wider bearings from the 996 GT3 crank vs. the narrower 4.0 Gt3 size.  We’ve done this for optimal cushioning of the rod bearing to crankshaft with huge torque builds, where the 4.0 GT3’s are for higher rpm, low torque setups.
  • Protomotive stroker rods also have a wider small end bushing for more wrist  pin support to keep your huge torque from damaging the wrist pin bushings.
  • Combined with our 103.6 p/c’s and 23mm DLC coated wrist pins we’ve found incredible strength in this area that’s previously been an issue for big builds.
  • Designed specifically for the stroker cranks for oil pump clearance without grinding!

Stretch & Torque Values for ARP2000 3/8″ Bolts

  • Using the Stretch method, measure 0.0055 – 0.0060 in. when properly torqued.
  • When using a standard torque wrench, tighten to 55 ft-lbs (75 Nm) with ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant

Are there any better rod bolts available?

  • Protomotive Rods are supplied with ARP2000 rod bolts for superb rpm capability.
  • Otherwise, ARP3.5 HD bolts available on special request at an additional cost.  Please contact us for these directly.
  • ARP3.5 HD bolts are a very rugged material used in endurance racing mostly.  But also applicable to those that want the best there is!

The actual throttle plate angle is the next column over and is pretty much exactly what it's telling you it is. On some cars 100% is 100%; while on others 100% or max throttle angle may be limited to 85%. What we're typically looking for here is throttle closure since we're dealing with E-throttle cars and the ECU is controlling them based on many, many conditions- and not simply where your foot is on the throttle pedal.
