What are these for?

  • These fit the top of your cylinder liners to seal the liner to the liner carrier
  • They seal out the coolant to the head gasket area

Why is Viton better than OEM Rubber O-ring material?

  • Viton has a much higher temperature rating than rubber.
  • The working temperature range of Viton is considered to be -26°C to +205°/230°C (-15°F to +400°/440°F). But for short working periods it will take even higher temperatures.
  • It doesn’t harden, crack and leak like OEM rubber O-rings to do.
  • It has much higher resistance to chemicals, especially fuels, oils and various antifreezes.

Will these fit my modified 996 and 997.1 Turbo engine?

  • In general, yes.  Even our 103.6 pistons and cylinders for the 4.1L builds use these o-rings.
  • If running larger diameter cylinders, please check with your supplier for the O-ring sizes being used.

The actual throttle plate angle is the next column over and is pretty much exactly what it's telling you it is. On some cars 100% is 100%; while on others 100% or max throttle angle may be limited to 85%. What we're typically looking for here is throttle closure since we're dealing with E-throttle cars and the ECU is controlling them based on many, many conditions- and not simply where your foot is on the throttle pedal.
